The Raven is a welcoming pub to all whether you’re looking for a quiet pint in the afternoon, or a great night out for the weekend, we offer a little something for everyone. With cosy low ceilings and open fires in the main bar area, The Raven has the appeal of a great local traditional pub. The back room can be reserved at no cost for functions of up to 50 people.
We have a great kitchen, run by head chef Luca, so have a look at a sample of our ever changing menu and come on down for a feed.
There's always something going on at The Raven, so keep a lookout for what's going on.

The seasonal menu includes skilfully executed dishes such as lamb and ale casserole with mint dumplings, and perfectly seared tuna with Tuscan bean salad and sun dried tomato pesto, while a sinfully rich brownie brings meals to an indulgent end. Enthusiastic service, a good selection of guest ales and an impressive range of 16 by-the-glass wines ensure that meals go down smoothly.
With so many contemporary gastropubs popping up in the capital these days, it’s easy to see why the charming and unpretentious Raven has become a neighbourhood favourite. Combining comfy lounging on worn leather sofas in front of the fire with breezy dining on charmingly mis-matched furniture in the conservatory, dining room or alfresco garden, it has a welcoming atmosphere all year-round and the oft -changing menu provides seasonal support.
The front bar with its low ceilings and roaring fires, is the favoured choice on dreary midweek evenings. On offer is a superb menu and extensive wine list; the bottle of the week is usually worth a go – a fine Alsacian Muscat (15) was on offer when we last visited. Still hard to beat, though, is a large glass of Merlot with a bowl of lamb stew and mint dumplings. Beer drinkers will be well sated here; the real ale is often complimented. The Raven may lack the polish of west London’s newer gastro pubs, but that only adds to its charm.
Friendly, cosy local just outside Stamford Brook. Fishcakes daily made with fresh fish are a good seller, and there are plenty of dishes in a changing menu that is fairly veggie and fish-lover friendly. Sample dishes: Fried squid and chorizo; smoked haddock with Welsh rarebit crust.
